Top Google Adsense Alternatives

adsense alternatives

Top Adsense Alternatives

The great list of Google Adsense Alternatives. I’ve decided to make a list of known Google Adsense Alternatives. We’ve used all of the companies sometime in the past 10 years, and here is what we think of them.

Yahoo Publisher Network (YPN)

Yahoo Publisher Network

Yahoo Publisher Network

The largest competitor to Google Adsense. YPN delivers ads in roughly the same format. They tend to pay less than Google Adsense, but this is most likely because they don’t have the clients that Google does. [Top]

Chitika

Cthitika Ads

Chitika Ads

Wow is what comes to mind when I think of Chitika. This company is very impressive. They offer a semi annoying but very profitable linx ad unit that scans your websites text and places links on words its advertisers have purchased. They also have a beautiful premium ad unit that includes pictures of the items, and usually has a ctr of between 1 and 6% depending on where the ad is placed. Really good company. [Top]

BuySellAds.com

Buy Sell Ads

Buy Sell Ads

BuySellAds.com is great if you happen to be a blogger or have a techie website. We’ve been happy with them in the past. They can really help you sell that empty ad space that has a low CTR. BuySellAds.com is really like a ad marketplace, in that you define a space on your site you want to sell, then you set the rate, then BuySellAds.com will count your traffic and display your site and its traffic stats online to advertisers. In just a few months i’ve monetized spots on my website that had previously been earning me no money. You also have the option to deny ads if you think they are ugly. [Top]

Tribal Fusion

Tribal Fusion Logo

Tribal Fusion

Tribal Fusion is considered by many to be the old faithful of CPM advertisement. They have been around awhile, and if you can get accepted then it may be worth a shot. Their ads pay on average between .40cpm and 1.5cpm depending on the size and other attributes. They always pay ontime, always answer questions, and are generally an alltogether great company to serve ads with. You can set your floor at say .40cpm and instead of displaying an ad for .35cpm it will either display nothing or a default ad of your choice. [Top]

Adbrite

Adbrite

Adbrite Ads

Adbrite is a decent contender and is ranked somewhere around the 10th largest ad network on the Internet. They work on a PPC and CPM basis. The ads are nice looking, and fairly simple. They offer some interstitial ad formats that have a higher cpm than most ads as well. All in all not a bad choice. As a side note they also own BlackLabelAds an “adult version” of their adbrite site. [Top]

Bidvertiser

Bidvertiser Ads

Bidvertiser Ads

Bidvertiser is another good choice. The ads again look much like the Google Adsense ads, the main difference is that they sell your ad space to the highest bidder. So you automatically get the highest rates available. These ads cannot be used along Adsense, but if you are looking for an alternative this may work for you. They also have a $10 payout threshold unlike Google Adsense $100 threshold. Worth a try. [Top]

Infolinks

Infolinks

Infolinks Ads

We wrote a review over at SitePoint.com on infolinks that is actually ranked #1 for the search term “infolinks review”. This company is a newcomer to the intext link realm, but they do a really good job. The JavaScript that serves there ads are minimal, so your page loads fast. The ads are very sexy looking. Sometimes they out perform chitika linx, so that’s impressive in itself. We’ve personally made a few thousand dollars with them, so we can vouch. All in all the ctr and cpc rates are excellent. You can run these type of ads side by side with google adsense or any other ads. So its bonus revenue. [Top]

Clicksor

Clicksor

Clicksor Ads

Clicksor is very similar to chitika linx, and infolinks. A small bonus is that they are on a Net15 system, and this means you get paid every 15 days instead of every 30 like most ad companies. So if you need cash fast this may be your ticket. CPC and overall CPM are decent. This ad unit can also be used with Google Adsense. [Top]

AdToll

Adtoll Ads

Adtoll Ads

With adtoll you earn 75% commission on all ads sold on your site. This is a good rate considering most ad agencies give you 40%-60% of your ad revenue. Most ad networks are not transparent about their earnings ratio. AdToll also has filler ads that will fill your blank ad space. They just came out with those Peel Away ads and those pay very well. [Top]

AdTaily

AdTaily

Adtaily.com promises to turn your visitors into advertisers. We signed up and gave it a whirl.

Let’s first start out with concept. AdTaily.com has certainly re-engineered the standard advertisement model to say the least. It seems as though they analyzed the the standard steps and removed any that are unnecessary. [read full review]

    Hi Michael,

    This is Shay from Infolinks.

Thanks for the great feedback about the company.

The Infolinks team takes pride in leading the In Text advertising industry. Infolinks in text can be use as an AdSense alternative, but can also be used as AdSsense supplement. Many online publishers find the combination of Infolinks and AdSesne as the highest paying model for their content based websites.

    Have a great day,

    Shay

Bloggers, beware of INFOLINKS! They are a SCAM! Here is what one blogger posted on another forum and it is in link with my experience. Read my negative experience with InfoLinks after this blogger’s posting.

“I worked with Infolinks from June 2009 to now, but I have never received payment from Infolinks, although my balance is more than $250.
My earning for June 2009 – September 2009 is approximately $200, and they did not issue to me in 11/16/2009,beside they said:they were sent out the payment and my paypal account has denied the payment.
But in this date and there after dates, I received some payments from other companies, those are ok, no problems with my paypal account.
And today, I tried sending and receiving with my paypal account before I post this thread to Sitepoint. It’s still ok.
Can anyone give me an answer?”

Here is my negative experience & warning:

Infolinks is a SCAM! Beware!!! They will NOT pay you and they will NOT respond to your email requests and phone calls about the pay. They claimed that they never received my tax information a few days before they were suppose to pay within the 30-45 day window (really 45 days) when I had sent it in- how convenient they say this. Not only did I send it in but I also had called & emailed them weeks in advance to confirm that it was received. Of course they never responded.

Here’s what they do when you sign up- they’ll give you decent earnings and then the earnings will fall dramatically. I also had emailed and called them about this a few times and again they never responded. We were about to remove Infolinks from our site, but then the earnings went back up for a little while. My tech department and I suspect that they did this on purpose so we would stay. And then the earnings went back down again for no reason at all, even though our impressions and clicks were at the highest. You have to understand that Infolinks will NOT pay, if you continue to run them on your site, you are wasting your time. They STILL get paid by the advertisers and all you get is used. Don’t waste your time and put this scam company out of business.

Take a few minutes and report them to the Attorney General’s office in both California and New York; to the Better Business Bureau; to RipOff Reports; file with a collections agency; and the International Trade Commission. And don’t forget to post your negative experience on every legitimate site to warn other website owners. I will be posting on multiple forums to warn others. I have already seen other postings from fellow bloggers who have similar stories to mine. I wish I had seen these before or that they had existed when I signed up.

I also suspect this SHAY person is a fake and not even his/her real name. There is supposedly someone named Noa M. who works there. Here is his information for anyone who wants to try to collect their payment:
    Noa M.
    Account Manager
    Infolinks, Inc.

    T 212-201-7481
    F 212-419-0975
    E noam@infolinks.com
    W http://www.infolinks.com

They also say you can contact support@infolinks.com. But good luck in getting someone to respond to you.

I have wasted more than 5 months of my time with this company and about another month chasing them around for my payment. They’re not worth the headache. Don’t you get scammed too!

They’ve never not paid me, but im not disputing your claim.

As far as dropping the price per click. I think most in-text link companies use that as a model. by giving you a high cpc at the beginning they get you to put their ads on all your pages / sites. When they drop the cpc you are only slightly likely to complain, and even less likely to remove the ads from your site.

Sorry and Hope you get paid.

I have used adbrite, infolinks, agengage, google adsense and finally adworld. I rank adsense first though the my earnings now not as quite good as earlier. If you are really looking for alternative to your adult site go for adword. adult adworld is excellent for me. it pays 3 times the blacklabel ads. click on my name to go to adultadword registration

I work for http://www.adtaily.com and I think this tool might be of some interest to you, if you look for some google adsense alternatives or additional revenue streams. We don’t charge the commission and it is the publisher who sets the price. You can check our video intro here:

Would be nice to see what you guys think about this solution (we are still a quite young company:).
