iPad Killing Amazon’s Kindle

I just bought a book from amazon.com and it took me forever to figure out how to buy the item in a book format, they kept trying to sell me a kindle version.

I had to perform a new search and select the non-kindle version. (why would they have 2 results, and the first one be the kindle) Very annoying.

So why the big push? Well the Amazon Kindle is amazons #1 best seller. I think they earn most of their money from that device. Users can then purchase and download e-books on the device and read them as if they were a book. The Apple iPad is kicking their but. Who wants a stupid Kindle when you could have a cool iPad im sure most people are thinking. Well I don’t want either (i have a dell mini 10 just $279) but it seems people are liking the iPads, why not they are basically a scaled up iPhone and you know those are selling like hotcakes.

Anyone else had this problem when shopping on amazon?
