CCleaner Wipe Free Space

CCleaner one of the nicest little utilities we’ve seen in quite some some. It’s a freeware application from the people over at Piriform a privately own UK software company in London. This application is the most widely used software in the class of Optimization & Cleaning.

So what’s so cool about this utility that makes it worth writing about? Well the 3 major reasons that come to mind is quality, price, and range.

Quality
This software is solid (i’ve never seen it crash), it’s updated very often, and even running it on a computer with minimal ram won’t make the app crash windows.

Price
This software is free, totally and completely free. How and why I don’t know, they do offer what looks to be paid support.

Range
This software covers about everything you can think of. Nearly every OS, all windows based browsers, and even things like your temp and recent documents.
Operating Systems: Win 98, Win Me, Win 2000, Win XP, Win Vista, & Win 7. (does not work on mac however)
Applications: Internet Explorer, Firefox, Google Chrome, Opera, Safari, Windows Recycle Bin, Recent Documents, Temporary files.
Registry: Also cleans up messed up registry keys.

Additionally the app offers the option to append a cleaning option to the recycling bin contextual menu.

So if you are looking for an application to clean up your computer no matter what the reason, then this is most definitely the application for you.
