Google Hijack Virus Removal
I had tried booting into safe mode and running Hijack This, Adaware, Spybot S&D, AVG, ComboFix and a host of other apps with no resolution. I then tried to do a system restore back to any earlier date, that didn’t help either. This thing was becoming a nasty little booger.
So What Is the Fix?
If you have this annoying thing this is what you can do to remove it.
- Turn off System Restore (right click my computer, select the system restore tab, put a check in the box that says “turn off system restore”)
- Boot into Safe Mode (restart your computer and tap F8 repeatedly while the computer boots, a screen will come up, choose Safe Mode with Networking)
- Download Kapersky Here, then choose all options and scan. Delete anything bad that it finds.
- Restart your computer, turn on System Restore
there you go, those are the exact steps that fixed my computer finally. We hope this helps your issue as well.
